Padang – Wednesday, July 24, 2024 Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) held a farewell event and a gathering of the chairman and management of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) UNP for the 2020-2024 and 2024-2029 terms. The event took place in the UNP Senate Room, Air Tawar Padang campus, 4th floor.
At this momentous occasion, Mrs. Asmar Yulastri Ganefri officially handed over the position of UNP DWP Chair to Mrs. Hilma Krismadinata. This handover marked the end of the leadership era of Mrs. Asmar Yulastri Ganefri who has made great contributions over the past four years and the beginning of Mrs. Hilma Krismadinata’s term of service as the new Chairperson of UNP DWP.
This farewell event began with a lunch meeting between the previous and new administrators, attended by the UNP Rector for the 2020-2024 term, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D, as well as the UNP Rector for the 2024-2028 term, Krismadinata, Ph.D . This get-together is expected to strengthen the relationship and provide an opportunity for the new board to get insight and direction from the previous board.
In his remarks, Ganefri, UNP Rector for the 2020-2024 term, expressed his deep gratitude to all DWP administrators for the 2020-2024 term. He appreciated their support and dedication in supporting the performance of the leadership and husbands who are also leaders at UNP. According to him, the success of UNP officials cannot be separated from the role of wives who always provide valuable support and input.
Furthermore, Ganefri also emphasized the importance of synergy between the new management and DWP seniors. He hopes that the new management can continue the baton of leadership well. What is initiated by UNP must be in line with the program that will be run by the DWP management for the 2024-2029 period. Ganefri emphasized that UNP’s success in the future really needs support from the role of wives, so that the activities held can be more productive.
Krismadinata, UNP Rector for the 2024-2028 term, in his speech also emphasized the importance of cooperation and synergy between all elements at UNP. He hopes that the new DWP board can continue the good programs that have been pioneered previously and bring new innovations that can increase DWP’s contribution to UNP. According to him, support from the wives of leaders is crucial in creating a conducive and productive academic environment.
Also present were various elements of UNP leadership, including the Vice Rector (WR), University Secretary, Deans, Heads of Institutions, Vocational Director, Directorate Director, and DWP members from various faculties within UNP. Their presence showed the importance of this farewell event as a momentum to strengthen the relationship and cooperation within UNP.
On the occasion, Mrs. Asmar Yulastri Ganefri conveyed her messages and hopes to the new board. She emphasized the importance of maintaining cohesiveness and continuing to innovate in supporting various activities at UNP. Mrs. Asmar also hoped that the new board can carry out the mandate well and continue to provide the best for the progress of UNP.
Furthermore, Mrs. Hilma Krismadinata, Chairperson of UNP DWP for the period 2024-2029, in her speech expressed her gratitude for the trust given to her. She is committed to continuing the programs that have been running well and bringing new enthusiasm in carrying out her duties. Mrs. Hilma also invited all DWP members to work together and support each other to achieve common goals.
In addition to the handover of management, the event was also filled with various activities that strengthen the relationship between the old and new administrators. Discussion and sharing of experiences from the old management became an important part of this event, providing insight and inspiration for the new management in carrying out their duties.
This farewell and gathering event is clear evidence that DWP UNP continues to be committed to playing an active role in supporting the performance of university leaders and strengthening the bonds of togetherness among its members. Support from all parties is expected so that the programs that have been planned can be carried out well and bring great benefits to the entire UNP academic community.
With this management handover, it is hoped that the UNP DWP for the 2024-2029 term can bring new enthusiasm and continue the various positive programs that have been pioneered previously.
