UNP Returns To Host PMM: Building A Generation Of Pancasila Youth
Padang Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) is once again hosting the Inbound Independent Student Exchange (PMM) for the January June 2024 semester. The event, which took place in the UNP FMIPA Hall on Tuesday (6/2), marks the fourth time UNP has been one of the Organizing Universities with 210 PTN/PTS throughout Indonesia.
A warm welcome and opening of the event was delivered by the Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Refnaldi, M.Litt, who encouraged participants to take maximum benefit from this program.
Head of Sub-Directorate for Learning Innovation and MBKM, Dr. Nofrion, M.Pd, revealed that 140 students from 72 PTN/PTS throughout Indonesia attended this orientation. They are ready to explore a series of academic and non-academic programs specially prepared by UNP. Participants will also be involved in the Nusantara Module, which presents 16 different activities, including diversity, inspiration, reflection and social contribution activities.
“We hope that PMM 4 activities can run smoothly and benefit all parties,” said the Head of the Sub-Directorate for Innovation in his speech.
The main topic of PMM4 at UNP this year is the exploration of the noble values of “adat-based yarak, yarak-based Hizbullah”, which aims to support and realize the youth profile of Pancasila. Hopefully, this activity can strengthen national values and students’ character as a young generation with noble morals.
Widiyadhana from Siliwangi University expressed his appreciation, “Thank you to UNP for allowing us to develop and hone our skills and develop our qualities at one of the best universities in Indonesia and Sumatra in particular.”
This orientation event was also enlivened with exciting material, including Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) by Dr. Fatmariza, M.Hum, Academic Administration Services by Ike Mariska, S.Kom, and the Nusantara Module guided by Dr. Nofrion, M.Pd.
The full participation of the Vice Rector III for Human Resources, deans, directors, heads of departments, heads of study programs, and study program admins further confirms UNP’s commitment to supporting the success of the PMM4 program. With this program, UNP focuses on improving academic quality, character building, and students’ social contribution to the nation’s progress. PMM4 at UNP will be an essential milestone in forming a young generation that is intelligent, skilled, and has high integrity in building Indonesia’s future. (ab/public relations)
