Carrying Out Work To Preserve Culture, KKN UNP 2024 Nagari Pagadih Successfully Launched A Book Entitled Adaik Pernikahan Nagari Pagadih

Friday, July 26, 2024, after 30 days of dedication, the UNP 2024 KKN group for the June 27-July 27 period in Nagari Pagadih officially launched the students with the community as well as launching a book on the research results of a series of wedding customs in Nagari Pagadih which was held at 10.00 WIB.

The team of 30 people has completed several work programs including their main work program, which is researching and writing a book entitled “Adaik Pernikahan Nagari Pagadih”.  This book contains the entire series of wedding customs and wedding ceremonies in Nagari Pagadih.  

The purpose of writing this book is so that the customs of Nagari Pagadih, especially wedding customs, can be inventoried and become information data for Pagadih’s children and grandchildren in the future.

In the process of writing this book, it was strongly supported by all aspects of the Nagari Pagadih community.  Samsiman, Datuak Jolelo Garang (Inyiak KAN) as chairman of KAN Nagari Pagadih, welcomed the results of the book that had been compiled. According to him, this book has been in accordance with the customs in Nagari Pagadih for generations.

Not only that, Madrid Ramadhan as a stakeholder of Nagari Pagadih, thanked him very much for the archive written by friends of UNP 2024 KKN students, about the traditional wedding reception of Salingka Nagari Pagadih. The man who is usually called Madrid hopes that this book will become educational material for the next generation.
