AR-Qu, An Innovative Quran Learning Application By UNP PKM Team
Padang – The Community Service Student Creativity Program (PKM-PM) team of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) launched an innovative Al-Qur’an learning media program in the form of the Augmented Reality Al-Qur’an Application (AR-Qu) to educate children in grade II of SDIT Nurul Ikhlas in Padang Utara District, Padang City. This innovation program is a program designed by UNP students in the 2024 Student Creativity Program.
The Student Creativity Program is chaired by Aninda Putri Riyanti (Islamic Religious Education 2022), and consists of Meiliza Aulia (Elementary School Teacher Education 2022), Alvin Ilham (Informatics Engineering Education 2023), Yosima Nur Ilma (Islamic Religious Education 2022), Labib Althaf (Informatics 2023), with accompanying lecturer Dr. Mukhlidi Muskhir, S. Pd, M. Kom (Lecturer of the Department of Electrical Engineering Education), Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University (FT UNP).
According to Aninda, in the process of implementation, the Al-Qur’an learning media innovation program is specifically designed to educate about Al-Qur’an learning in the form of makharijul letters and hijaiyah letters in the form of an application called Augmented Reality Al-Qur’an (AR-Qu) with the concept of education.
Learning hijaiyah letters and makhorijul letters is very important because it is the basis for further learning of the Qur’an, but in the process students have not been able to understand and mention makhorijul letters and hijaiyah letters properly and correctly, because the learning media is monotonous and less effective so that the material presented is difficult for students to understand, said Aninda Putri Riyanti through a written statement received by UNP Public Relations, Thursday (07/18/2024).
Responding to these problems, Aninda continued, the UNP PKM Team presented AR-Qu: Innovation of Augmented Reality Applications for Qur’an Learning in Islamic Religious Education in Elementary Schools.
Furthermore, the Head of the AR-Qu PKM-PM Team hopes that this application can help improve the quality of Al-Qur’an learning in elementary schools, especially in the introduction of hijaiyah letters and makharijul letters.
